As a rule i always allow students who come late to the class. No its not about violating discipline.
Sometimes when you probe deeper, you will know the tardy student may have overcome greater hurdles to at least be there on that day, owing to their thirst for learning.
While those who came on time have had a fairly normal day...
Acceptance and compassion can go a long way.
