is all that it takes to get a form for contesting assembly elections!! i can't wait to be 25 then... yeah, just a form for Rs. 3 (the increased value of rs. 2/- in 3-4 years) can lead to my transformation from an ordinary citizen into the chair-n-share-holder of the power stock! and i shudnt even wonder why me? well... why NOT me?!?! we even got some of those 'Red M' people trying to blend with d democratic process :- i wonder if they got some hidden agenda, like becoming a certified MLA and then gunning down every1 in the assembly meet :P . its a sick idea, but thats what these red m people've been doing so far - sick n dastardly crimes for humanity; and i'm afraid whether 'absorbing' these unreliable criminals (some r still in jail - so u dont really need clean records nowadays to become a 'netaa') into d 'normal' democratic process (is it really for fools - as per cited by Nehru) is such a brilliant idea?
as always we can only wait for time 2 giv n answer to this question.
well, u can become an MLA wid Rs. 2/- in ur pocket (n 2 lacs in ur account for campaigning_ :P ), but you can GET Rs. 2/- along with a fifty rupee note when u'd pay 4,100/- for a delectable serving of the most expensive food item - truffle. considering the fact that this mushroom-like vegetable grows below ground, one shudnt mind paying rs. 4048/- for this rarity. after all, no piece of the earth comes cheap.
and i must say, 2 leg pieces of chicken can really make my day. especially when i can order n eat a chiken tikka masala, jungli murg, 2 hyderabadi biryanis and 3 glasses of soda lime for less than INR 500 and get in return a fifty rupee note and 2 coins of Rs. 2/-. it may also be noted that i didnt eat everything alone (neither did i pay alone) as it was gr8 to have the company of 2 other fond gourmets this time at the table... :)
on a passing thought, i was just lamenting on the fact that these ancient builders made such exquisite buildings in their glorious times to be captured in brilliant photos in cameras that came more than 2 millenia later!
on another passing thot, i found it amazing to learn that 'oal' is called 'elephant foot' in english. some varieties of elephant foot may aptly be called 'ant tentacles' for that itchy sensation. nonetheless, for versatile foodies like myself, pickles and veg preps of elephant foot are something to kill for n die for :)
in a not so strong effort to end this number '2' spree, it was refreshing to consume 2 apples and 2 custard apples to cleanse my stomach after eating '2' much!!
since i had not updated my blog with the latest quotes, i'll do d honors now:
quote 1: money n love can make the world go round, but mathematics keeps the world going straight!
quote 2: dance the way ur dress and body allow u to!
movies seen recently :
1. my sister's keeper (2009) - i cried a lot. an eye opener on ethical issues of cloning, dealt subtly with care and presented meaningfully with something close to all our hearts - family.
2. forest gump - hd never seen this b4. its an hour n more of pure inspiration.
will terminate this blog entry here as i got to get bak to work n finish some more movies in line.

say cheese... n eat it.
sumptuous is the breakfast which includes a generous helping of cheese from all over the world -cheese on a platter for u to taste and drool over! or just be happy luking at its milky beauty, in case u dont like the taste or are a 'pure' vegetarian. and wont u believe it - u've got to see n eat it to know what a delightful experience it is to eat all the cheese!!!
cheese dats rough.
cheese dats soft n cheese dats tough.
cheese dats bright or cheese dats dull.
cheese which melts on ur tongue, or it cud b harder than d skull!
cheese for the knife, cheese for d spoon.
cheese to lick under the melting sun, or nibble below the shimmering moon!
u name it and its there...
or it will just come all the way for u from somewhere!!
pink cheese. yellow cheese. cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
i want more n more of it, so giv it to me, please!!
Greek cheese fresh from the pastures... unravelled from a tin can.
or, a delectable brownish Italian with a slight, sunny tan.
grated cheese, elated cheese!!
cheese for the sultry summer,
cheese for the wintry cold
cheese dats simply delicious . . .
and gives u joys untold!
after all, its only cheese dat will matter
especially when u get to eat it off from a huge huge platter!
....... in case u want to know where i got to eat so much cheese, mention it in ur comment :)

The Spoken Arrow
look b4 u leap n think b4 u speak. ... never know in how many ways ppl hurt other people just by saying a few words. sometime we utter what we dont really mean and then it gets too late and the only way out left is regret. its true, once the arrow leaves the bow, it doesnt luk bak. so happens to the words we utter.
either i am too sensitive, or some people just dont care. i've observed this as a growing trend: thr r many people who seem very close to u, but when others r around, they totally forget u as long as they get more attention from others. worse, they even say stuff dat cud cause deep emotional injury. and after their party's over, they come bak to u like u're the only one who ever mattered. and u ask urself, hey, is this d same girl? (or guy?) either people are losing memory or they simply dont care. how come everyone has started to be more detached mentally, especially towards those wid whom they generally seem to share a 'loyal' relationship. or is it that people r so insecure and devoid of self-esteem, that when they get attention from new people, nothing else matters. and they get to the point of humuliating those who r always wid dem - be it joy, sorrow, loneliness ... everything. we sometimes try to fight it out when someone hurts us. but it becomes such a waste of words. they say something, we say something and its all said. but does that really make any genuine difference to those who hurt us? life goes on smoothly for dem... they go bak to their room... their comp... listen to music... eat... like nothing really happened... the bank balance reads the same. after all, its not them who's feeling hurt. and so what if they hurt any1... come on, losing 10,000 bucks wud be a hell lot sadder!! - - - its high time we start using things and loving people, than to love things n use people.

too late to be a pessimist...
this is wid reference to a very moving and awakening video i saw... thanks to NJ for recommending it, and thanks to d guy on LAN who got it n shared it.
i cannot restrain myself from sharing a few things which i felt very strongly after seeing the video... this video called "home" is not only an ultimate documentary, but a whole revolution packed in an awesome 1.5 hrs ka video.
coming back to what i felt after seeing the video, mainly brought out by the UNEP (commendable work... truly exceptional) ...
i wont share all that they showed in it. u can check out my facebook photo album for the snapshots and comments. since blogs are moslty all about sharing one's thots and views, i shall do justice to this blog entry!
its really astonishing to know that our earth captured huge amounts of CO2 to make way for oxygen. these reserves of CO2 are were kept safe in d earth's crust, and in the form of fossil fuels. i still believe that these fossil fuels were hidden by the earth to protect them from sheer abuse by the human menace. but look at it... in the last 50 years, more than 80% of these reserves have been brought to surface, and burnt, to add green house gases to our air-envelope. the same carbon, which was stashed away safely in the crust, is now beeing unearthed and burnt, to produce more carbon. on the other hand, the sun in 1 hr alone, gives the same amount of energy which all inhabitants of this planet consume in a WHOLE YEAR! now, i am waiting to earn some more money so i can install solar panels on the roof of my house and harness this endless source of energy. instead of looking down (inside the earth), its time to look up (in the sky, at the sun) if we wish to save all the oil from ending up in smoke.
as a chicken lover, i'm glad i eat meat in a country like India, where they dont feed poultry and cattle wid surplus agricultural products to get more meat. sounds strange, but its true that 60% of the world's foodgrains, esp. soya, is fed to the prospective beef. indeed, forests are cut, made into arable land to get more food for the what these developed countries shall eat as meat.
however, its good to know that a lot is being done by many nations. like costa rica doing away wid its army to spend on education and eco-tourism. solar energy and wind energy are gaining momentum, even in India (which is slated to become water deprived - completely - in the next 30 yrs).
i cant do anything at a grand scale at this point of time. so i've thot of doing my small bit, by deciding to wake up and sleep wid d sun. its simple - finish off all the work in day time so that i dont need to keep up at night and make my tubelight consume energy. since i do not smoke, i am helping by not adding more carbon to the atmosphere. somehow, although being a staunch individualist wen it comes to doing almost everything, i've told myself to develop affinity for public transport!! and i do not regret it. the fact that i take a bath every alternate day helps save water! :P . and indeed, washing clothes not more than twice a week helps save substantial amount of detergent, whose manufacture is another energy monstrosity. i am still working on more ways to save precious energy. i'm sure those of u who read this post can share / suggest some more ideas for saving energy and saving our mother earth. and dont forget to see the documentary "home"!

i felt the pinch...
the last week witnessed political turmoil... in jharkhand, and i felt the pinch. 5 days of 'bandh' unleashes all d voilence, inconvenience and crime that is, well, not always 'bandh' in the tumultuous region where i stay. for 5 full days, trade had almost come to a grinding halt wid blocked arterial transport lines... esp the roads, as it was highly unsafe to let the loaded trucks out of the city. on wednesday, oct 14th, wen the bandh was officially over, the trade routes found a new lease of life. all the trucks were to move unstoppably... alas, our roads, esp the main 'highways' are not very well equipped to handle this sudden rush in traffic! consequently, commuters on the road were stuck in traffic jams, myself being one of dem. it was a first hand experience of how political (mis)ambitions affect lives directly. the 3:15 institute bus reached the gate at 5:30. the girls bus started 30 min late (not very uncommon) but could filter through the jam and get to the 'no entry' point only by 6:45 pm!!
all i can say is, its really surprising that organizations which indulge in organizd crime, killings, massacres, and unabashed violence, are given the liberty to hold 'bandhs', when insetad, they should be 'banned'!

if i could, i would...
... not eat chicken! but well, its dificult, so i ended up consuming chicken today, after 2 months, 14 days :) madhuban ka chicken is good, but not as gr8 as dat of jungli... shows i have gr8 contro, but wen it gets down to survival, one can yield in n break free of self-imposed constraints. treats r fun, nonetheless. and thanks to my classmates, whose b'days n achievements gave us loads of reasons to celebrate... n enjoy gr8 food.

my next concern is to dine at an airport restaurant at one of the world's best airports, listed below. i wonder if the new hyderabad airport made it to the top 30, but there's no harm in takin a luk at the best 10:
1. Seoul Incheon - terry farrell's works rock!!
2. Hong Kong
3. Singapore Changi
4. Zurich
5. Munich
6. Kansai
7. Kuala Lumpur
8. Amsterdam
9. Centrair Nagoya
10. Auckland

piece de resistance
so i've overcome my fear of succumbing to temptation while many people would have chicken in front of me. but i'm sure m not beocming indifferent to chicken... i still yearn for even a distant whiff of the aroma. its plainly restraint, n only dat.
as for the day, i cn luk bak at it wid mixed feelings. some accomplishments, n some major disappointments!
accomplishments - we finished recording the BIT Institute Prayer at arguably the best recording studio in Ranchi :P . reached hostel on time. travelled to n fro in BIT's official Omni van :). wen BIT gives u a van, u better go ride it, man!
disappointments - TATA Steel wont sponsor... Prabhat khabar wont either... evryone will save a treasure.
thankfully, Food, above everything, has been GREAT. especially at the rajasthani food festival by the HM deptt. in BIT. simple n tasty food with prompt n 'hospitable' service. God bless n my best wishes!
not been to dance practice since Thursday. hostel library has also remained closed in a while. good, at least i dont need to pay a heavy fine n i can keep d magazine wid me a lil longer!! who's got d nerve to issue fresh magazines a week b4 mid-sems anyway!
and of course, work has taken a steback in d midst of all pursuits! so time to go n work now :)

bon voyage
here comes ma first blog. the talker's blog. lez c d 2 commandments for 2day:
1. i shall try my best to prevent food n Architecture from invading all my blog entries.
2. i shall keep it short at d first go...
firstly i need to share some of d queer words invented by me (flexible parts of speech):
de-hotelized - keeping away frm restaurants. totaly in luv wid home/self/friend-cooked food.
backable - those eerie subjects capable of procuring a 'back' to students.
the quote - most of it is empty pomp n show; the world waits hungrily to giv u a blow!
note:- everything on ma blog is original, unless otherwise specified. (obviously, i'm formal n abnormal as hell. need i say more?) ... but will definitely come up wid some stuff of consequence in d near future. ain't i here to stir up a storm at least??
