In-different Observation #162

 Follow up to the last post:

Past 8 weeks, been living somewhere akin to a bunker in Afghanistan. Yet I'm here to build my parents' home, a work of love, "just the way it was, Brick for Brick". As Batman said it. 

It's been a colossal mess since late 2018 as every few months, a new thing breaks. But i have to deal with it. Already got a roof done, which still leaks from the damage in the flat above. The electrical panel was soaked for 7 months. I stayed here without electricty or heating in peak-Delhi-winter, and got more things repaired.

You see, the thing about idolizing Batman has nothing to do with capes and Batmobiles. Its about doing the hard things, the necessary things, even with the lack of applause. Sticking to your self-appointed "purpose" even without people understanding why or what. 

"Your purpose in life is to build", dad would often say, that things start to get built up when i go somewhere. Or I'm sent to places where things have to be built. And that's precisely been my purpose in life, to build (people, places, nation...).

The next thing about idolizing Batman is to take the hit for others. Even as they hate you. To go on in life even after people close to you abandon you and hurt you. To choose not to be a victim but deal with things as they come, bravely... 

The thing about idolizing Batman is that you keep doing good things even while being mistaken as "the bad guy". 

Without the luxury of Alfred Pennyworth or Lucious Fox by your side, or billions of dollars at your disposal. Its about finding your own strength (with no other-wordly superpowers), to have hope, even while you're holed up in a bunker...

Your passion is not what sustains you. It's something you keep on doing even when you're broke(n). It has to come not from a state of deprivation but from a sense of largesse and giving you perform from a heart and mind that believes in creating abundance...

As my dad would say, when Circumstances go bad, don't be bitter - you become BETTER!

I choose to share only the happy aspects of life because i insulate people close to me from any negativity i face in a personal capacity. For this post, this one time, i take a detour 😀 Sometimes, it's about the message...
